Cincinnati Post column relevant to Phoenix market

The following is a portion of today's radio story in their newspaper. Certainly mirrors local happenings with KTAR-FM.

"FM talk is seen as an up-and-coming format as many traditional FM music stations have fallen on hard times with the music delivery revolution. FM music stations have lost listeners since many younger people have foregone traditional FM radio for their music fix in favor of iPods.

FM programmers are now looking for new ways to feature new talk formats on the band that could be differentiated from the traditional AM/news talk."

Nurse Jeff and I have this idea called "Free FM" that we're peddling to CBS. They've lost Stern on 101~five and are interested in FM talk. Bet it'll be a surefire winner and keep TMISU from moving KT'R to FM!

ps - would someone download the "Morman" ringtones from KSL's website and tell us what that is all about? ??? ???

Must be a selection from Jerry-O (Former Mormon Tabernacle Choir conductor Jerald Ottley) and the MO-TAB (Mormon Tabernacle Choir)! Who in Utah wouldn't want the MO-TAB on their phone?!?!?!

I like your idea about "Free FM", but I'm not sure you could get a quality morning show going. I mean, it's not like David Lee Roth would be willing to leave his music behind to do morning drive. Good luck, though. Sounds like a winner. ::)

ps- let me know if David says yes.

The Nurse and I are really tempted to download that ringtone, but we're watching expenses at the Buckeye Media Hut! Our next brilliant idea will be to bring Tom Leykis back to Phoenix radio. He was big here once, why not again?

Yes, FM talk... it's so good we can make millions with Mancow in Salt Lake City... and in Cincy, we'll feature the most bipolar lineup with Mancow, Glenn Beck, O'Reilly, and Sporting News Radio! But it will be on FM, so it has to work!!
