What's the status of 95.7. I thought First was involved with it moving to Sharonville? They may not want 97.3 if 95.7 is going to be similar in terms of signal coverage.

Doubtful that First Broadcasting buys anything here. Their operation usually buys move-ins, improves the facility, then sells. In today's climate, with few buyers, dry credit wells and lower multiples, that business plan is likely on hold. Plus, they have yet to improve the facility to the point where it can be a player worth buying. As far as I know, First is not moving 95.7, Cox is.

Bonneville could do a pickup. Don't count out Cox, though. They've been active in expanding their Atlanta cluster into surrounding small markets. It wouldn't be outlandish to see them increase their critical mass in the Cincinnati-Dayton corridor. I could se Cox picking up 94.1, 92.5 and moving 95.7 to give them a three station cluster here. There are a couple of other indie groups out there in smaller markets who have the wherewithal to do the deal with CC now that prices are dropping and credit is tight. The two I'm thinking of each carry little or no debt. Either one would be a great addition to the market. But I'm betting on Cox.

Cox is a great idea too, guess I forgot to put them in the picture.

I have heard a lot of talk about Bonneville picking up either both 94.1 and 92.5 or one of those two stations. Most of that talk is coming from radio people close to the deal.

I would like Cox to buy some stations in the Cincinnati market. Then maybe we can get Bubba the Love Sponge's morning show here. I heard that they're looking to expand the show to more affiliates.

Is he still in Tampa? Is he staying out of trouble with the FCC? Is he too "off-color" for Cincinnati? Think about it...
Inquiring minds want to know.

Was just on the phone with a broker buddy, we were just talking about the Bonneville / Cox possibility.

He said, what if Cox does move into Cincy, they purchase 97.3 from Bonneville. Cox then has a sister station to 95.7.

Bonneville picks up 92.5 and 94.1. They then make a deal to spin out one of the new stations they just picked up to compliment Cox and their own cluster on Reading

Bubba is still in Tampa and does mornings for some of Cox radio stations. Also he is on Howard 101 on Siriux/XM with a very uncensored radio show. He was on WEBN in the mid-late 90s so no he's not too off color for Cincinnati unless your CCV.

Cincinnati Radio... what a joke !

I though Obama would bring us some CHANGE !!!

Can Cox buy anything here? With the newspaper/TV and Radio in Dayton. I think the butler/warren county overlap could be a DOJ issue--- but that said; I LOVE cox!
