CINCINNATI REDS RADIO COVERAGE IN LOUISVILLE

In Sunday's Cincinnati Enquirer, there was an article about the Cincinnati Reds Radio Network. The article, which indicated the Reds took over operation of the network after last season, pointed out that the affiliate in Louisville was changed this season which gave better coverage in that area. Could someone there advise about this switch (from what station to what station AM, FM, etc.) and if the coverage area in Louisville was improved. Thanks.

They switched from 101.7 to 93.9. The coverage in the Louisville area is much better. The only problem is that somethmes 93.9 would move the games to their AM station, which is hard to pick up (at least in my neck of the woods near Crestwood). Hope that helps.

Thanks for the information. It's been a while since I was in the Louisville area when a Reds game was on the air. In fact, it goes back to when the games were on 790-AM. In terms of AM coverage and being able to hear the games, I assume many in that area could just tune to WLW out of Cincinnati.

So the AM station is 1450 (is it still WAVG)? Do they duplicate the same programming from the FM signal on the AM?
