Okay, there are a ton of 'stories' about this one:
While it was occuring , it was a shhhhush, hush
"cover up." After 'it' happened, all voices
were silenced. Now, I dont think any one cares..
or the parties involved, if still in broadcasting,
have anything to lose by sharing the story:
What happened to the "supposed" rumours..of
"108" and hot(i believe it was..hot, at the time) hot103..5FM
being owned by the same ownership.
As i recall, the 'story' went, the 108 owners, decided
to obtain, the AC 103.5 and use it as another dance outlet..
and, from there, politics; difference of opinions;
conflicts of interests, etc,etc ...heck, urban legends..LoL
"something" happened...where "108" and "103" *IF*
once sharing a common owner *NOW* were sharing a common
audience, may the best station win.
(A) Did that really happen ?
(B) If so, Who was first (108 -start 103/or 103, try to launch 108?)
the latter, 103 trying to launch 108 'could be Possible' -Recall,
"dance108" wasnt not very radio-friendly, perhaps, the minds@103,
saw this as a chance to try to obtain two genres of the club-culture.
(C) If not, (never *EVER* owned by one-in the same) why was
this rumour even started; and, who did it protect/serve best.
(D) If not the same owners, was there ever both stations, at
the same nightclub/airing the same live-2-aire..?? / if so,
that is MAYBE the reasons, i believed/heard 108/103 were once
