Subject: I'm sick of you all draggin' me down (Ratings recap)
First off, let me say that the Spring Book ratings are a fluke. It is just another fluke in a string of fluke books for this entire year. It is completely a fluke that for four books in a row we haven't been able to break a two share. Believe me, four fluke books in a row do not make a trend. It is all Arbitron's fault, certainly not mine. It might be a little bit your fault, but mainly Arbitron's fault. I'd say 0% Fram, 25% your fault and 75% Arbitron's fault if I was forced to nail it down.
Furthermore, if it isn't a fluke it is Chris Williams' fault. Remember when he programmed here from 1998-2004!? Yeah, he really screwed things up big time. So bad that 3 years later I still haven't been able to fix it. Me the legendary Leslie "most powerful woman in alternative", "goddess of the airwaves" Fram. You know it's screwed up bad if I can't fix it in 3 years! I mean look at the cool superlatives I've given myself. I'm super duper and Chris really sucks! Buzz and Project whipping us repeatedly is just a fluke (see above). Don't bother going back and looking at the ratings when Chris was here. Seriously, I'm trying to look out for you and save you time, don't look. Just trust me when I say that he really screwed up this station bad. My OM title was really just a figurehead, Chris was so powerful and scarey I dare not interfere with him as his boss. Anyhow, I was trying to come up with snazzy labels for myself then anyway, so I just let him have complete control and he blew it! That makes this 100% Chris Williams' fault and 0% Fram's fault.
Oh, and I almost forgot....it's also Cumulus' fault too! Now that they are here, Val Garris is running the show and he's totally destroying the station too. Other than keeping me on the air, letting me be PD, pick the music, promotions, hiring airstaff and writing for the station, I'm completely powerless! This guy, Val, won't let me run the station the Fram way which would totally make us relevant immediately. If it were up to me, I would invent a time machine and escape back to the 90's where I could continue to ride the coat tails of other, more talented people like Brian Philips, Keith Eubanks, Sean Demery, etc.....instead of having to program the station myself. Val keeps saying that is not possible because we would have to have a ship that could travel faster than the speed of light to create a fold in the space time continuum and even if we did there is no reliable way to navigate in a 4th dimension. Yeah, well not with that negative attitude Val! If I could only go back to the days of no competition, I would kick ass again. As long as Val is stopping me from doing things my way, it's mainly his fault for our current ratings. 100% Val, 0% Fram.
This just struck me too.....it's probably the listeners fault too. These a-holes don't wanna listen when I tell 'em something's good. How many times do I have to tell you that you do want to hear me on the morning show?! Listen, I'm gonna keep firing co-host after co-host that aren't a fit for me! Obviously, they are driving away the audience that wants to hear me because I'm a legend!!!! Cumulus isn't paying me over a quarter of a million dollars on accident. They expect you to listen! I'm the Goddess of the effing Airwaves. I explained this to the Dickey's and how popular I am with the Atlanta audience. Give me one good reason why the Alternative listener wouldn't want to hear a 50 something woman's take on current affairs. Haven't you heard that Cougars are all the rage!? I demand you start listening right now! Seriously, I don't know what's wrong with you people. 100% the listeners fault for having bad taste and not wanting to listen to what I tell them is good, 0% Fram's fault.
Ok, just to wrap up my ratings recap. It is 25% your fault, 75% Arbitron's fault, 100% Chris Williams fault, 100% Cumulus/Val Garris' fault, 100% the stupid, crappy taste listener's fault and 0% my fault that we got another fluke bad book.
