Citadel AC stations

If you look at major companies like CC and CBS, most of their AC stations have practically the same playlist, and almost every Clear Channel AC station carries Delilah. I know Citadel is a rather major company. However, I've listened to quite a few of Citadel's AC stations, and most of them seem pretty good. Here are some of the ones I've listened to:

WWLI/105.1 Lite Rock 105 Providence, RI (this one's somewhat local to me)
WHOM/94.9 Portland, ME
WMAS/94.7 Springfield, MA
WMGS/92.9 Magic 93 Wilkes-Barre, PA
WLEV/100.7 Allentown, PA
WXRC/99.9 Classy 100 Erie, PA
WFMK/99.1 Lansing, MI
WTCB/B106.7 Columbia, SC

Out of all the ones I listed, only two of them run Delilah. Those being WLEV and WXRC. WHOM has John Tesh, but I believe all others are programmed locally in the evening. WWLI and WMAS both have locally produced Love Songs shows, but WMGS and WTCB don't really have a love songs show at all, which is odd for an AC. I haven't really listened to WFMK at night. But I also noticed that WMGS and WTCB have a really wide variety of music, and play a lot of "oh wow" songs on a regular basis. So even though Citadel is a big company, it seems like most of their AC stations are pretty good compared to CC and CBS.

That's interesting. I typically don't like Citadel's music stations, but I'll have to listen.

WTCB which I am familiar with...I'm not sure if it's technically AC. Seems more like a AC/Variety Hits/Hot AC hybrid of sorts.

I like WFMK, they to me sound a lot fresher musically than the other major- or medium-market AC stations in Michigan. The all-retro weekends almost sound Jack-like - a '70s Elton John hit and "Blue Monday" by New Order played within the same hour. Also, WFMK is one of the few major- or medium-market AC stations I can think of that has NEVER gone all-Christmas music for the holiday season. They had a competitor in the market a few years ago (the late Soft Rock 94.1 WVIC) that tried it, and it failed to raise that station's anemic ratings.

These letters can't be right. The WXRC letters have been on a Charlotte, NC area station since the early 80s.

Fortunately, the market just got a more conventional AC for those who want "normal". Well, conventional for 1981.

Correction, it's WXKC.

Citadel's KJOY-99.3 Stockton runs John Tesh eves. Also they don't switch to All Christmas until the week before Christmas. They will play All Christmas Music on weekends only after Thanksgiving.
