citadel baton rouge silent??

the whole cluster is silent right now. 1:30am. they were silent at 11:00. anyone know whats up. this is kinda strange. we have 5 silent fm stations in town right now including wqck...92.7/93.7/94.1/103.3/106.5..i cant pick up the AMs to check them..<P ID="signature">______________

This might be the best programming
decision Citadel has made yet !
 
Considering they are running on Scott Studios...the "first" version( or darn near it) I am not surprised. It also does not help that there is no one in the building overnight( the board ops tend to vacate the premises when everyone leaves)...and when there "Is" a body in the building, they do not check each studio to see what is going on. It could also possibly be that maybe they are switching over to something else. I know they were talking about upgrading the system and overnight would be the time to do it.

Upgrading Scott Studios is not that big a deal. Are they on SS32 or the DOS version?? I have upgraded 6 studios on SS32 and Dispatch server in one night and NOT ONE station lost audio....of course they were looking for a CE a while back....and then I never heard who they hired if anyone....after that, the GM was let go (what was her name) and I have not kept up with the happenings there as all of us are waiting to see who BUYS Citadel...and then the bloodletting will begin!
 
DOS. The system is so clogged, stations had to remove music to make room. Everything there is "hurry up and wait". Promises are made about upgrades and nothing materializes...production rooms do not have working equipment/speakers....try doing a spot with no audio to listen back to. It is not the engineers' fault..they have to answer to the higher ups like everyone else. I think they are probably going nuts, too.

Well, there are five stations in Houston still using the DOS version....
Infinity's KILT AM/FM, KIKK and KHJZ as well as KSBJ (89.3)..and they work quite well. Sounds like the management is running it cheap...with little HD space, etc.. No spkrs in the Prod rooms?? GEESH that sucks..(they must expect the imaging folks to use their headphones)

I looked at the Chief Egr position there a few years ago...then the GM (cannot remember her name right now) was gone...not sure if she resigned or was let go...decided not to go for the position because there were a lot of questions I never got answered....(even talked with other Citadel engineers and they never gave me a clear story)

Guess The Bridge was a lot nicer sounding than K-Love eh? At least The Bridge didn't broadcast silence :)

How hard is it to install a Satellite dish and receiver at the Transmitter and click "on"

nope!! i love this station!! they just played benny hester!! :)..much better than the bridge was...all my friends are digging it.and that all important demo.. young mothers are loving it also. so says the ones that work where i do anyway. all responces so far..its much better than the bridge was!! yea they repeat. but there also seems to be a gold rotation where rarieties pop up sometimes..
and a light category of gold songs also. awsome god played 3 times today as did a lot of dc talk songs. but thats ok. its the songs i like!! :)<P ID="signature">______________
