CITADEL EXITS SPOKANE!

Well, something finally happened in Eastern Washington radio!

Citadel has exited Spokane, the trailer park of the Northwest.

The stations include Adult Hits KBBD (BOB-FM), Country KDRK (CAT COUNTRY), Adult Standards KEYF-A (THE KEY), Oldies KEYF-F (OLDIES 101.1), News/Talk KGA-A (THE BIG TALKER), Sports KJRB-A (THE FAN), and Rock KZBD (THE BUZZARD) . The new owner? MAPLETON COMMUNICATIONS.

I wonder if Modesto/Stockton is next? They are the trailer park of Northern California! Will Citadel sell?

As part of the deal, KGA gets downgraded from being one of the few West Coast Class A AM's to class B so KPIG 1510 (Mapleton) can better serve San Francisco at night.

I'm just was wondering if FEMA trailer park town New Orleans is next for Citadel to leave. CC is leaving and Entercom Will probabally flip a couple. ???

CC and Entercom will have to offload several New Orleans stations in order to do that. Plus Citadel seems to make money with the NOLA cluster so they'll hang on to them for now.
