It's apparently a budget thing and budget will vary market to market and even within a cluster in the same market.By the way they just renewed Gio's contract for another three years so the money is going elsewhere.

Regarding Gio: They renewed his contract for another 3 more years? Thats kind of shocking to me in my personal opinion. I would think a year or two if that and he would be gone. I like Gio..but kind of shocked at that. Anything on Kim?

Also, I noticed that 97 BHT a Citadel station in PA went streaming today also.

As much as Gio is advanced in age for a CHR station, he is a Heritage voice. He has been a fixture on PRO-FM since the 1970s, working nearly every shift full-time except for overnights and PM Drive. With that said, PRO-FM's current staff does have some longevity for this market. Both Davey Morris and Tanya Cruise have been at the station for nearly 15 years, if memory serves.

The Citadel websites in Portland Maine have Listen Now buttons on them, but the only one that worked when I tried it was WJBQ.

Age doesn't matter as much if you're on mornings at a CHR. Ironically if they hadn't moved Giovanni to mornings about 5 years ago I don't think he could have stayed at PRO-FM.
