Citadel to sell Indiana signals

Thats the hot story right now. The rumor is that Citadel and Backyard Broadcasting have been in the discussion process as of recent for Backyard to aquire WMDH-A/F. This of course will require the sale of a current FM property on their behalf.

My thought is they would sell the property of 101.7 to Radio Indy so they can simulcast WKLU, but I could be wrong.

Just thought I would pass along. Citadel is still looking for a buyer for WWKI.

Id find it funny if Backyard sells 101.7 to Vox (Formerly Mid AMerica Radio) if im up on its current name for an agreement of some sort to still simulcast 104.9 lol but i dont think they allow one company to own a station anymore and do a jsa/lma type deal with another if there near the limit.

Vox was only scheduled to buy the Mid America Marion and Kokomo stations. Peru, Logansport,Wabash were to remain part of the chain along with Martinsville and other southern Indiana stations.

WXXC and WCJC at the top of every hour still identify as A Mid America Station
