Again it is just another example of Citadel's incredible and massive power, whether it is buying ABC, suspending Ward (btw, I take no position one way or the other on the suspension), or, their broadcasting the racist, homophobic Michael Savage. Now they want your social security no. in Tucson, as per the link

If the IRS is that anal, then stations that insist on playing along should CEASE doing any giveaways. It is so reckless for stations to *maintain* that much sensitive data on people not even employed by the company.

Identity theft is a huge problem and this type nonsense only fans the flames.
 
You neglected to mention they only want your number if you win some on-air contest.
If you don't want to give your social security number, don't enter their contests.
Besides, if you're in broadcasting you're probably not eligible any way.

I checked. Citadel doesn't carry Savage in Tucson. They syndicate another show in the same time period so where are they running Savage at all. If you are looking for stuff to complain about, this is pretty weak.
