Boy there has been some bashing on this board about people who think they know and other people who think they know. Ouch!!!

Anyway, an interesting sidenote to Citadel Birmingham. When their current GM came in about 1 1/2 years ago from Arkansas everything was fine personnel wise.
Then out of the blue he got rid of JT who had been there for years. Brings in his former PD from Arkansas to take over. Then a year later he blows out Susan Groves and replaces her with his other buddy from Arkanasas. Oh yeah and people on the sales side have gotten blown out and replaced by, you guessed it, people from Arkanasas. Their should be a Greyhound station stop at Citadel arriving from Arkanasas.

Sure you take care of your friends but blowing people out so you can bring in your friends. That just ain'r right.

It is obviuos in their programming as well------Welcome to your worst EVANESSENCE nightmare! They will not even play Seethers"broken" unless it has AMY LEE! Most of the loyal listeners I know have bought satellite radios to avoid this HOGWASH! Leave it to a bunch of rednecks from ARKANSAS to screw up something in ALABAMA(pretty hard to do!)
 
I agree, I think it's time WRAX makes an "official" format switch! They have the biggest identity crisis a radio station could have.

Do they still have loyal listeners? I thought all the X-listeners were now EX-listeners. I must say there is nothing like flipping through and hearing the same songs on 94.5, 99.5, and 100.5, way to go Citadel!<P ID="signature">______________

Sounds like to me you people are a bunch of bitter EX employees. Citadel grabbed a handful of talented radio guys from Arkansas to clean up that mess and that's what's going on. All of those running the Citadel ship in Birmingham came from Clear Channel Little Rock.

Don't you have anything positive to say? It would do you better to think happy thoughts rather than try to down the good Arkansas boys cleaning up that wreck. Citadel knows what they are doing and maybe you should sit up and take notice. You might learn something. You might even get a job with a great company.
