Citadel's Intentions?

WOW! That's an eye-opener for sure. It is funny(funny weird, not funny haha, mind you) how the "sales establishment" is up in arms with Farid's cost-cutting now and how (for the most part)they turned a blind eye and cold shoulder to the "programming establishment" when it started happening to them.

And the beat goes on...

And I thought that Clear Channel was bad. I am really wondering how long that the FCC is going to let all of this continue with these large corporations running good radio in the ground. Anyone with any sense knows that you have to spend money to make money and this philosophy cearly will now work and if he wants to run Citadel's stock in the gound, then maybe there won't be a company if this keeps going on. I really miss the days of local radio, owned by local companies. It was better controlled, and if you look at what Columbia radio was in the 80's especially, the numbers were much igher and I am sure that their revenues were probably higher or as high and wish that we could go back to that because frankly most of what I hear today in the Columbia market is really stale.
