CJAD-Last Call with Sol Boxenbaum

I saw the show is no longer on the CJAD website. Does anyone know what happened? For folks with insomnia, he had a very good show.

Astral is making changes to talk programming in Ontario and Quebec in ways that do not make sense.

I wish I had an answer for you, but I do know this. There is an evening talk show on CFRB that sounds like it's trying to gain a Toronto/Southern Ontario audience, but it's 610 CKTB in St. Catherines Ontario that cut the show in favor of American talk programming, not CJAD, the other station that was also carrying the show.

I guess Ryan Doyle will now talk more about Canada wide issues and a lot less about things Toronto and Southern Ontario cared about.

That just makes sense.
I'd love to tell you that 610 cut the show because it's too close to the 1010 signal, but there are various pockets where CFRB isn't picking up very well in Southern Ontario.
Oh well...

I thought I saw an ad promoting Coast to Coast AM moving to CJAD. Wouldn't surprise me since CINW folded and they carried the show in Montreal.

Quite a shame. Sol was a real service to local Montreal for those who worked late, couldnt sleep, or were lonely. He'll hopefully resurface on the weekends or something.

Sol Boxenbaum has been replaced by Coast To Coast AM.

I really enjoyed "Last Call with Sol". :( Not only did I like listening to him, I also liked a few of his regular callers, like the "mayor of Cote-des-Neiges".

Coast To Coast is on seven mornings a week:
