CJLO 1690 About to start testing

cyberdad said:
I was in southwest Ontario last night. At no time did CJLO seperate itself from the slop on 1690, at least per my fm walkman.

Wednesday night was just a horrible night to try to hear ANYTHING out of Montreal on AM, even the regular powerhouses of CINF 690, CKAC 730, and CINW 940 were nowhere to be found or barely even audible. This past week has been horrible at night for Montreal AM, considering how close those stations are, you'd think I'd hear something. Right now at 10 minutes to 5 am, CJLO is very strong, it came in about 20 minutes ago, and has been steady ever since. Finally blowing CHTO, WPTX and WVON off the dial for once at night. I find it odd I have been having an easier time hearing WVON than CJLO. CHTO Toronto just puts a solid signal here at night and has become a real pain. Before CJLO even started testing, CHTO wasn't that easy to hear at night, now it's a different story.
