CJNU Winnipeg

CJNU has moved from 104.7 to 107.9. This is a low powered station that operates on a limited time basis with permission from Industry Canada. They area Nostalgia formatted station. The move was due to the new licensing in Winnipeg of CIUR

Interesting post, but I didn't think Industry Canada regulated broadcasting stations except for extremely low powered stations used for special events. Isn't this the province of the CRTC?

BTW, I have been a regular listener to CBW 990 for many years here in the Chicago area, but now that local AM 1000 has switched on their IBOC interference generator, it's virtually impossible. Before they did that, 990 really packed a wallop here in northern Illinois. I miss CBW, but after the CBC tinkered with their programme schedule last year and took off the programs that I enjoyed (Northern Lights, Between the Covers), I don't really bother tuning in anymore.
