September 6th, 2011 was a watershed moment in Montreal radio history. On this date at 4:30 AM EST, CKAC 730 AM launched a new all-traffic format branded as Radio Circulation 730 (Circulation is the French word for Traffic).
Prior to the launch of Radio Circualtion 730, CKAC was home to a popular sports talk format. Although that format is now gone, some of the programming and personalities from the former CKAC Sports will resurface on CKAC's sister station, CHMP 98.5 FM.
CKAC first began broadcasting in 1922, and was first French-language radio station in the world.
