CKLW 20/20 News Sounder

Hey all - looking for a "clean" version of the famous 20/20 news sounder made famous by CKLW. I know theres a few clips on the tribute website but not a full clean version of the mp3. If anyone know where I can find one, I would appreciate it. thanks!

Ya, I saw that one on the site.

I am basically looking for a longer version of the MP3 version they have there...havent been able to find it.

CKLW's then-sister station WRKO-680 here in Boston also used this sounder for newscasts in the late 1960's/early 1970's; I suspect so did RKO General's KHJ-930 Los Angeles and KFRC-610 San Francisco.

Many years later, WODS-103.3 (during their oldies years) used this sounder until newscasts there were eliminated.

I believe this news sounder was used by all Bill Drake consulted stations, as well as stations Drake sold his jingle packages to. Later, it became part of Oldies/Classic Hits jingle packages. 99.7/KFRC in San Francisco (Classic Hits- owned by CBS) used this sounder to introduce the guy who read the news headlines and traffic in the morning - up until their format change about 2006. KFRC also used "Drake-like" jingles at the time.

I still hear this sounder used on a number of classic hits/oldies stations - WCBS-FM New York being one of them, and I'm guessing KRTH as well.

Some non-RKO stations used this one back in the day as well. Listeners in Toronto may remember this production piece being used as the top of the hour news sounder at 1050 CHUM during the early 1970s.
