CKWX 1130 HEARD IN MICHIGAN!!

After years of trying, I finally nailed CKWX 1130 Vancouver, BC this morning from Coldwater, MI. I heard '1130 News', (604) area code mentions and pacific time zone. Then they went into a commercial break with Vancouver mentions! They are 1,884 'Radio-Locator' miles from my location.
 
Great job Lawppy! I was getting WBBM last night under KKOH and CKJH 750 Melfort, SK at armchair level so I know something was up...

Congrats Lawppy - that's awesome! I'm still waiting to bag BC here. I didn't check the band this morning, but conditions to the west during the last few nights have been phenomenal.
 
Considering there are 3 fairly hi-power 1130's nearby (Minneapolis/Milwaukee/Detroit), I would say that this is some kinda catch!

What time in the morning? I'll give them a try.
 
Yes! It was an amazing catch. And there was not a trace of Detroit, Minneapolis, New York City, Shreveport, or even any of the I-BLOC hash that usually owns this frequency!

The Upper Midwest and Canada were HUGE this morning. In addition to the monster CKWX catch, I logged five other new ones!

680- CJOB- Winnipeg, MB- weak w/ CJOB call letters and Winnipeg weather report

910- KCJB- Minot, ND- weak w/ monotonous male DJ and Minot weather report, Ward County mentions and local car dealer spot

960- KLFN- Little Falls, MN- weak w/ what sounded like the same guy who was on KCJB. Little Falls mentions and MN political spots.

1060- KNLV- Ord, NE- weak and alone on frequency. Tuned in with just enough time to hear the 'and 103.9 FM in Ord' mention.

1190- CFSL- Weymouth, SK- poor, faded to weak with Garth Brooks 'Friends In Low Places' and webstream match.

I heard CKWX between 8:05 and 8:10 local time. JUST before my local sunrise, which is at it's latest point right now. It doesn't even get this late in January.
 
I've been trying for CJOB for YEARS now. Never have gotten anything on 680 besides KNBR and the two WA daytimers, KBRD and KOMW.

CFSL is heard frequently, sometimes completely over KEX Portland.
