Hey Guys:

The Formats of 1040 CKXY Confuse me. Here is what I have:

Friday September 12, 1986 7pm CIOF 1040 AC (No Jocks)

Monday September 15, 1986 5:30am CIOF 1040 AC (Live DJ's)

August 3, 1987 CKXY 1040 Top 40 "All Hits 1040 KICKS Vancouver's Music Power"

September 5, 1989 CKXY AOR "ROCK 1040"

____________ 1990 CKXY Top 40/Rock "ROCK 1040" (Would anybody know the date when this happened?)
Kind of formatted like Pirate Radio 100.3 in LA

March 10, 1991 CIMA Nostalgia "Magic 104"

If anybody has anything to add please feel free to do so.

I think the switch to rock occurred in February of 1990. I could be wrong, but that's how I remember it. In 89 the station was still 1040 kicks all the way through new years. As far as an actual date, I don't remember.
