I wanted to find out more about CBC "The National" meteorologist Claire Martin, who begins each edition of the archived late night news video from CBC in Windsor (that's when the automatic recording starts, about 10 seconds from the end of her weather forecast).

Apparently, the "flirty by-play" between the Vancouver-based Martin and Toronto-based Peter Mansbridge is quite one for the Canadian gossip mill, at least from the various Google hits I saw. One blog did an Onion-style story of an old woman who died of a heart attack when Peter and Claire went too far.

I post this because I saw her segment with a female Mansbridge sub this week, and her "giggly" behavior didn't seem to change...
