Clarence Jones passes

Didn't see this on any threads yet. On Friday April 6th Clarence E Jones passed away at a nursing home in Orangeburg. He had been in radio for well over 50 years. He started owned or part owned many stations here in South Carolina such as WBPD which later became WORG in Orangeburg on the AM band. He started the 810 AM station in St George as well as 107.5 which later became Q 107.5 The Big Bubba and Cat Country, today it is kown as The Game and as moved to Columbia area. Also he started 1370 AM WSOL and 100.3 WMNY in Elloree which he later changed the call letters back to WORG 100.3 before selling to Marion Garris/Garris Communications of Orangeburg. He also owned an LPFM in St George a few years ago on 105.9 WSHG Shagging 105.9 He was a ham radio operator, DJ, Engineer, Musician, Station owner, among many other things. He earned the name Crazy Clarence Jones in radio and was proud of it. Radio as lost another landmark person.
