Award winning journalist and longtime member of the NewsCenter 5 team Clark Booth has died at the age of 79.
A former Weymouth resident, Booth was a graduate of Holy Cross College, beginning his career in newspapers. An eloquent writer and storyteller Booth's talents translated well to a television audience, who watched him report for decades on everything from politics to the Pope and all of Boston's sports teams.
He started at NewsCenter 5 in 1975 and retired in 1999.
Booth died Friday at his home in New Smyrna, Florida at the age of 79.
