Clarke Ingram gets promoted to Operations Manager.

Clarke Ingram gets promoted to Operations Manager.

The following is from www.pbrtv.com

Ingram gets promotion - (8/18) Clarke Ingram reports that he has received a promotion to Operations Manager of WKHB (AM 620) and WKFB (AM 770) where he has worked since 2004. Ingram became the Program Director for the stations in 2005 and will retain those duties as Operations Manager. The stations feature a combination of oldies and talk shows. Ingram hosts a "retro" program on Saturday afternoons.

------------------------------------------
Clarke congratulations on the promotion.

Re: Clarke Ingram gets promoted to Operations Manager.

Thanks, Bill. There was also a little blurb in the PG yesterday, which would have been my mother's 82nd birthday. I hope she is smiling down on all this.

Now that I am officially the king of Albania, when they also give me the oversight of Freedonia and Sylvania, I'll let you know. ;D

But seriously, I enjoy working with the stations, I have my oldies fun on the weekends, and as Bob said when he gave me this position, "You're already doing the job." Which was also the case when he made me PD back in 2005.

Barry Banker remains Station Manager (which dates back to WHJB/WOKU, when there was more to manage) and he's responsible for the first half of the broadcast day and a lot of public-affairs work that he does exceedingly well, as well as many other things.

And, wouldn't you know, 770 was off the air this morning due to the storms last night. Phone lines to the transmitter were down. All OK.

Ingram gets promotion

Way to go on the promotion, Clarke. You're one of the hardest-working hands-on PD's left in the industry. I still have yet to meet you, but your reputation and your track record precede you, and that's more than enough. Keep those two AM's humming along. Compared to where they were years ago, they've come a LOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGGG way, baby. I know Al Calisti's smiling down from Heaven at 770AM (and he's probably right next to your mom while doing it) :).

Re: Clarke Ingram gets promoted to Operations Manager.

Congrats Clarke!!! And best of luck with your continued success.

Re: Clarke Ingram gets promoted to Operations Manager.

;D"Pay no attention to the other radio stations behind the curtain....All hail the great and powerful Clarke!" ;D( I stole that liner from BOB-FM and made the appropriate change, and I thought it fit.) By the way I had KHB on coming home from church tonight, when 620 is playing the hits...it sounds dang good! However I don't get all the racing jokes.

Re: Clarke Ingram gets promoted to Operations Manager.

"Great and powerful"? In which alternate universe is THAT happening?

The "racing" jokes go back to an event some months ago, where Frankie Day from 770 put his logo on a racing car. Jay Thurber has turned it into a running gag on his Sunday night show ever since, although I realize only a few people would ever make the connection. It's mostly for Mr. Thurber's amusement. ;D
