Classic Arts Showcase on DISH Network

What happened to the Classic Arts Showcase on DISH Network?

Nutmeg-TV the Public Access station that serves Comcast Customers in eight cities and towns in Central Connecticut carries Classic Arts Showcase from DISH Network on Comcast Channel 95 Educational Access 24/7. On the screen now is the DISH Network Logo and the words "Congratulations! You are looking at the 61.5 Orbital".

Should still be there. Satelliteguys.us would go ape if it were removed, trust me.

Looks like the Nutmeg folks need to do a little retuning.

still on 61.5

sounds like someone accidentally hit channel up on the receiver. Interesting they dont use the C-Band feed on 91W which would be cleaner

Of course, sourcing their programming from a consumer small dish service instead of the big dishes is nothing new -- at least one of TBN's repeaters have used Dish Network as its programming source instead of C-Band. I also read somewhere that some Canadian TV repeaters get their programming from Bell TV or Shaw Direct, instead of C-Band.

It could be worse; my local university houses the local public access station and when they forget to pay the Dish bill or a firmware update comes during spring break, don't count on seeing anything for the next week; they air Free Speech TV during off hours and the rest of the schedule outside of live city council meetings and sports events is programmed via time-delayed DVD players.
