There's a Popeye cartoon, circa early-'60s, that
is largely forgettable. It's called "The Billionaire,"
and is an obvious takeoff on "The Millionaire," with
Jackson Beck doing the voice of the unseen Michael
Anthony, while Popeye is the John Beresford Tipton
counterpart. Switch: "Tipton" is visible to the camera;
"Anthony" is not (just the opposite of the real show).
Beck did have the deep, authoritative tones of Marvin
Miller (maybe more so), but Jack Mercer sounds nothing
like Paul Frees.
