Classic Cartoons on local stations

Does any local station anywhere still run classic '60s cartoons like
'Rocky and Bullwinkle','Dudley Do-Right',Dennis The Menace',and so on?
or maybe public-domain 'Looney Tunes','Popeye', and 'The New 3 Stooges'
I know that most commercial stations run the FCC-mandated E/I stuff, but
Is there stations that still run many of the 'old-school'classic cartoons?
many of these are available from The Program Exchange.

Not very many local stations(if any) carry these cartoons. Except for The Cartoon Network and Boomerang, local stations have not carried Bullwinkle,Dudley Do-Right,The Flintstones,The Jetsons,Yogi Bear,Woody Woodpecker,Mighty Mouse,Tom and Jerry,Popeye, among others since the mid 90's at best.

As for Dennis The Menace, you might be talking about the cartoon show from DIC that aired in the 80's and 90's. I wished that they would not only bring back the cartoon show but the sitcom from 1959-1963 which starred Jay North. I miss this show tremendously as I do the cartoon show from the 80's and 90's.

Some low power stations may show some PD cartoons, but there aren't any I know of in my area.

In Chicago on WWME ch 23. They air Tennessee Tuxedo and Underdog and on Sundays they have little rascles and three stooges with some old cartoons thrown in.

KUTP (UPN45) here in Phoenix run the E/I toons on weekday mornings and KASW (WB61) just banished its Kids WB cartoon shows to Saturday mornings only. So there is very little in the way of cartoons period. What I don't understand is there are non-stop infomerials on all weekend on every network. Don't you think running a block of classic cartoons would attract nostalgic adults as well as curious teens and pre-teens and be more profitable than the one-millionth showing of Natural Cures and How To Get Rich In Your Pajamas?

Simply put, the infomercials bring the station revenue. The cartoons do not.

And, until the FCC puts some kind of limits on infomercials (yeah, right), they won't stop.<P ID="signature">______________
