"Classic Countdown" No Longer on "Fox Oldies"

I was going to record this week's show and I've heard this show was replaced by another show called "Rock, Roll & Remember" with the man who invented New Year's Eve, Dick Clark. I enjoyed listening to the "Classic Countdown" every week with Dick Bartley when he counts down the 20 greatest songs from each year, the events that happened and the rest. The show also thrown in a few 80's songs on that station and it doesn't fit the format. 80's music on an oldies station that doesn't seem to fit well, if you want a better 80's music fix, try CBS-FM, WHUD, WRNQ or any other station.

I'm going to missed that show so much, there's also a "Classic Countdown" can still be heard on Sunday mornings on WCZR's "Cruisin' 93.5" and I cannot get the station, because I live in the Kingston area, and it is barely listenable to hear and it got splattered by WBWZ's "Star 93.3". That stinks!

As for the show, when did "Fox Oldies" dumped the "Classic Countdown" show? I guess it was last week or maybe today.

Any thoughts?

I could be mistaken, but I think his distributor dropped Dick Bartley's Classic Countdown, so I doubt it is on WZMR either.

It was on yesterday, so it is probably not the distributor, which still shows The Classic Countdown on their menu, as well as Dick Clark, as both are distributed by the same company.

Just a thought: Is WCZR on the Internet? You wouldn't necessarily be able to record it, but you could enjoy it nonetheless. Besides, if I am not mistaken the station has to "retrieve" the program each week. Maybe they just saw the first name and cleared it, since it is the same company.

And look at the bright side: At least you didn't get some deranged, bottom of the food chain type implying that the reason the program was gone that day was because Dick told the station powers that be that if people wanted to hear his programs he wanted them translated through his girl...and, of course, that he would travel to their place to put it all together at their home studio. rofl ;D
