CLASSIC COUNTRY ON WZZK?

I was listening to WZZK around 7:15pm Sunday night and heard about 3 classic country songs (as in Buck Owens classic country) in-a-row. When they finally played a station liner, it simply said, "Alabama Gold on 104.7 WZZK." I'm not sure if it is just a new Sunday night show they are trying out or if there is more to it. I didn't get to listen long enough to hear if they had any jocks or not, but did find it interesting to hear that Jay Michaels is back at WZZK, though I'm not sure in what roll. Anybody else have any info?

I heard portions of the show the past two Sunday nights. Apparently it is just a show that runs from 6:00pm-11:00pm playing all classic country. I personally think it is a show that will catch on. Already it has several people an hour calling in requests.

I agree, Country radio stations need to start playing Country music. To quote my local newspaper earlier this week, "I'm a country music fan, but these stations don't know the difference between Merle Haggard and that Hootie guy."
