Classic dance music

nd2023

I think there would be a decent following for a station that plays classic dance music from freestyle to Avicii; late 80s to early 2010s.

I have always loved that era of dance music. I now have the money to buy a small market class A or medium market translator. I would love to get a translator at the Jersey shore but that’s a pipe dream.

I have not been able to find an Internet or FM station that primarily plays that era of dance music. SiriusXM Utopia plays that, but it’s one of the hidden SiriusXM channels way up in the 300s.

If it's one of SXM's "hidden" channels -- not available on all radios, including most legacy models -- what makes you think it would work on an FM station? The music isn't mainstream enough to generate the listenership and ad sales required for the station to be profitable. I suppose you could program it for yourself and people you know who have the same love for that music as a "hobby"-type station, but you'd be pouring money into a bottomless pit every month.
