Classic Hits 97.7 in Springfield

W249DP, the translator to Ware's eponymous AM station, transmits with 200 watts from Monson, MA. By the looks of 97.7's coverage map, its 60 dBu contour just barely reaches Springfield.

There must been a little tropo yesterday. I was sitting in a parking lot on Route 10 in Southington, Connecticut and I picked up Classic Hits 97.7 on the radio. It's the stock radio in a 2010 Honda Civic. The station was staticy, but listenable. Meanwhile MIX 93.1, (which obviously as a full powered FM station is much more power full than this translator on 97.7) didn't come in at all. 94.7 WMAS was crystal clear.
