YouTube user 'knoxtvarchive' has uploaded some classic Knoxville news footage. From the moment, the news footage is from 1983 and there hopes to be more soon. You can visit http://www.youtube.com/user/knoxtvarchive and from there, you can check these out.

Fantastic footage. Big joke which ties into the lead story. How are a Cow and a Bank the same? They can be milked many, many times. But they can only be Butchered Once! Back to the thread.

Butcher had just purchased Citizen Union National Bank Lexington when this happened. I don't remember the specifics but it reverted to Citizen Union shortly after the insolvency.

I remember when this occured, just a few months after the closing of the World's Fair in October 82, but I do not remember anyone from the WATE-TV 6 newscast that was covering the story except for Dr. Spiva. He was a regular on channel 6 anytime something happened on the economic front, especially right after the President's State of the Union address every January. As far as the 3 reporters, Chris May, Steve Oglesby and Al Kahli, I don't remember them at all.
