Classic LA Radio Station T-Shirts & More

Have had these on eBay in the past, but this is an item for a niched audience, so posting here.....I have a small collection of pristine LA Radio t-shirts from defunct stations including Y-107, Star 98.7, Pirate Radio, and K-BIG 104. Anyone interested in these who travels in and around USC, Long Beach, or OC? I also have many other classic LA radio related items, prizes, bumper stickers, reporting, etc. Hard to assess a value to any of this so they are "OBO".

I would definitely be interested in the Pirate Radio one and if you have one from the old KMET.

I am not sure what your Ebay price was, but my purchase price is in the range of a normal shirt. Sorry, can't spend more than that for what are really frivolous indulgences of nostalgia. If someone outbids me, oh well. I actually had a Pirate Radio shirt (blue print on black shirt) back in the day and wore it out.

At the risk of alienating folks by bringing KCSN onto another thread when the station has received plenty of run on this board elsewhere, I wanted to make the following observation since we are talking about station shirts.

On the KCSN website, they'll throw in a station logo (such as it is) T-shirt for a $100 donation. Really! I have a better idea. why don't you GIVE some away at station events and concerts and sell the rest for a nominal fee. What this station needs more than anything is public awareness. And keeping shirts that could be advertising your station all day on peoples' backs instead of being locked up in a box waiting for someone to overpay for a donation doesn't seem like the best marketing plan around. I know I got that Pirate Radio shirt for free once upon a time and I definitely know they got plenty of advertising out of it.

I have hundreds and hundreds of bumper stickers such as many generations of KROQ bumper stickers (the ovals, the circles, the Depeche Modes...), fm 101.9, 830 AM, 93.1 JACK FM, Jammin' Z90 San Diego, KIISFM, kodj, KFI (stickers and beach ball), 97.1 FM TALK Leykis 101, Z93.9, KCAL 96.7, kbig, Channel 103.1, KLOS (classic logo used for the band Heart), KFWB News 98 (many of these), etc. Also from TV, such as from KCET, MTV, etc. Probably do have KMET. I need to dig in further to see. Would be happy to have a Meetup somewhere in LA/OC at some point, or ChannelFlipper, LMK how to contact you.

Dang, I used to have t-shirts from now defunct stations -- KKBT, KODJ, KIQQ, KQLZ -- but threw them out after I wore them out. Now, I never see radio station t-shirts anymore. Come to think of it, I don't see bumper stickers that much either. Why is that? They always struck me as a low-cost way to promote a station.

David,

Sorry for the delay in response. I'm working on maximizing the amount of promotional items from SoCal that I have in my collection. I have a decent inventory at this point, but am still interested in finding stickers for Star 98.7, 99.1 KGGI, 93.5 KDAY ( anything before the current logo), Pirate Radio 100.3, Star 100.7, KSON FM, Smooth Jazz 98.1, Premium 92.1, 103.7 The Planet, 105.7 The Walrus, KYXY 96.5, and Sophie @ 103.7. I know most of those are in the San Diego market, so that may not be of much help to you. I have a fairly good list of duplicates for promotional radio items nationwide that I would be happy to send to you, if you're interested in making any trades or just seeing what I have. Thanks!
