Classic Rap Hiphop R&B Format

Classic Rap Hiphop R&B Format 2002 & older would it work here in Houston I would like a station like this

I think 101.1 should turn into a hip hop station. Party 101.1 sounds good.

I am asking about classic rap hiphop r&b not the new crap that is played now

ok then seriously the format you are saying will work in houston too. i am a fan of 90's r&b and hip hop as well as most people are so this format should lean a little bit more on the 90's stuff. and how about 2005 and older for the 00's instead? ruben studdard's sorry 2004 was good too. also, with the 00's, play more r&b than hip hop.

by the way, the "new crap" still pulls in numbers. look at 979's.

That is even more of a niche market than oldies. We aren't likely to get either format any time soon. Nor will we get CCM any time soon, I might add, although some translator applications make me hopeful on that front.

Remember, it is all about revenue. It's what can you sell. This Market much like many others is ratings and target demo driven. Can you convince clients that what your product is will make them money. Anything will work if you can sell it! 8)

KSBJ isn't CCM enough for you?
