Classic/retro/leftover alternative shows?

Just wondering if your local alternative station does a "retro" or "leftover" classic alternative lunch or daily show? And if so, what kind of stuff do they play? Post playlists if possible!

Here in Boston, WFNX does the Leftover Lunch, basically covering from the 70s to the 90s. Kind of true to how WFNX has been sounding lately, there really is no incredible depth to the playlist, but host Julie Kramer will pull out the occasional nugget.

In Providence, WBRU has the 95-Minute Retro Lunch, which airs at noon on weekdays, then they have a "brunch" show on Saturday mornings. A little more depth that WFNX, but basically covers the same time frame, 70s to 90s.

For an example, here is the WFNX "Leftover Lunch" playlist for today (10/7/09)

LEFTOVER LUNCH 10-7-09

THE SMITHS - HOW SOON IS NOW?

GARBAGE - ONLY HAPPY WHEN IT RAINS

INXS - WHAT YOU NEED

BECK - DEVILS HAIRCUT

REM - ORANGE CRUSH

STONE TEMPLE PILOTS - SOUR GIRL

SOFT CELL - TAINTED LOVE

NADA SURF- POPULAR

NEW ORDER - TRUE FAITH

ELVIS COSTELLO - PUMP IT UP

SMASHING PUMPKINS - DROWN

THE CURE - CLOSE TO ME

FOLK IMPLOSION - NATURAL ONE

MIDNIGHT OIL - BEDS ARE BURNING

LENNY KRAVITZ - FLY AWAY

Not bad...not as deep as they were going, say a few months ago, but still good selections nonetheless. Good to hear Elvis Costello, New Order, Folk Implosion and old R.E.M. all in the same hour.

I remember passing through Boston last year listening to WFNX's noon hour, and hearing the Cure's cover of "Purple Haze", but otherwise it was along the lines of what you listed. In fact, I heard three of those songs (Smiths, Beck, Midnight Oil) you listed from 10-7-2009.

KRBZ here in Kansas City does 1990s at noon, but 70s-90s on Sunday morning. "Resurrection Sunday" has typically been a throwaway show with the same 100 songs. The show's page on the station website is blank. There is no content other than title. But lately they've been expanding the playlist. I heard "Sound and Vision" and "Moonage Daydream" from David Bowie recently. I've heard songs from Velvet Underground, Roxy Music and World Party. They also air a Saturday evening show called Sonic Spectrum which typically features new music, but will play bands ranging from Television to Split Enz.
