Classic Rock in Altoona

Altoona #'s are in and looks like Forever has reason to celebrate with Froggy in the top spot (no surprise)...Waly and Hot in a virtual tie for #2 and Rocky 104.9 at #3 beating out long time classic rocker Q-94.

Just curious if anyone has any perspective about what that will mean for the "Q"? They've been doing Classic Rock for a long time....but does Altoona have room for 2 classic rockers? Forever did a great job reinventing the station this year by moving away from the "metal" sound they had going on and it looks like the audience has responded favorably.

There has not been any type of A/C or Hot A/C in Altoona since Forever dismantled "Mix 104.9" several years back...could the time be ripe for the "Q" or anyone else to reinvent themselves in the market to fill that void?

G101 is drifting that direction...will that make an impact in Altoona?

Thoughts...comments??? Looks to me like A/C is the only thing not being served in Toon Town at the moment.

Q94 probably won't make any changes. They've been basically doing the same thing for 15 years, playing the same 300 tracks over and over, through up books and down. They'll probably ride it out and watch Forever make another format change on 104.9 in a year or two.

If it were me, I would make some adjustments in the music, because it hasn't sounded fresh in a very long time.

Gomer Radio is drifting down. It's called a spiral in most circles. Impact is called "crash".
A monkey could to better to program...

Ok [EDIT]...step up to the plate!

Why is it that you seem to only know how to insult rather than educate, inform or pose legitimate questions about the business?

Programming would be better served by a pro.
