Classic Rock on AM 970?

Any ideas who out there is playing classic rock on 970?

They were coming in really strong this morning. Blowing holes through the night
pattern signal of local WBGG. Foreigner, Paul McCartney, etc. Between 6AM
and sunrise. Did not catch an ID and can't seem to find a station with that format.

Just guessing, but there's WATH Athens OH, whose slogan is "Classic Hits 970." www.970wath.com/ They run 1kW non-directional day but they also have pre-sunrise authority for 500 watts. This month that covers 6:00 until 7:45.

The "classic hits" format would certainly seem to fit what I was hearing.
Athens is not that far away either as the crow flies. Interesting because
I have been listening to WWSW/WBGG for many years, and have never heard
anything punching holes in their nightttime signal like that.

I am also hearing this in Lexington, KY. I think it might be WRHA in Spring City, TN. I say this because I heard an ad last night with the mention of "Spring City". I know Radio Locator says this is a Talk Station with only FLEA power at night, but it is quite strong here in Central KY. Perhaps there has been a format change ???

WATH is only supposed to be running 26 watts at that hour.
Unless their timer is blown it seems unlikely.
