Classic Rock Returns to "Rhode Island"

Although the station targets the New London, CT market, its transmitter is north of Westerly, RI and does cover a good part of the Ocean State. Too bad the WWRX calls belong to another company (on 107.7). Would have made a nice match, even though it's the "Wolf". :)

From Scott Fybush's NorthEast Radio Watch:

On March 18, Citadel will swap facilities between talker WXLM (102.3 Stonington CT) and classic rock "Wolf" WMOS (104.7 Montauk NY). [EDIT]

When you have to mono out an FM signal just to make it "tolerable", you're in pretty sad shape, IMHO. I guess Citadel doesn't care much about it's news/talk station to sacrafice it like this.
