CLASSIC ROCK

Yeah, and I also want another Hot AC and Rhythmic Top 40 station. We don't have enough of those either

Bring back real Western music! Lefty Frizzell, Bob Wills, Billy Jack Wills, Johnny Lee Wills, early Merle Haggard, Maddox Brothers and Rose, Lost Weekend, Asleep at the Wheel, The Hot Club of Cowtown.

Where's the Cow Cow Boogie when we need it? How about Big Balls in Cowtown? What we could use right now is a good rendition of Smoke Smoke Smoke that Cigarette.

Where's the KSAY and the KEEN of today? THAT is what we need 'round here. We need to celebrate the native music of California, the music that built the West!

An 80 & 90's top 40 station would be a cool add to the dial. No Rap or urban - just simple straight top 40 with a few of those less heard tunes thrown in every so often.

If only Bonneville was still here, they probably would of tried Rewind 95.7

It was bad when CBS dumped the oldies for the crappy "movin" format, when we had a couple of other stations doing it already.

The Bay Area has to have the worse FM dial around.

Speaking of formats. What format is 107.7 THE BONE, Classic Rock? or Mainstream Rock?

Since The Bone plays no currents, they are "Classic Rock That Rocks"

and yesterday they were giving away Prince tickets, even tho' they never actually play Prince. WTF?

Not surprised that we do. Mainly because we use the web to pick a good music format.

You might like my buddies station: www.amazing80s.com no 90's, but a few of those "not so often heard" 80's tunes from time to time

Their current hits are more or less limited to bands on tour that will quietly disappear from the playlist once the tour passes through. Hence random moments like having Apocalyptica in between Blue Oyster Cult and Van Halen.

The Bay Area needs a station that plays hard rock from the 90's & 00's in addition to the older hard rock staples.

KSAN does not cut it (not even close). Live 105 plays too much nerd rock and seems afraid of music with guitar.

An Active Rock station with wide ranging playlist would certainly outperform The Wolf's 1.1 share, one would think. Could package it with K-Fox for sales purposes.

-The Bay Arena need to play something hard n heavy music and the Bone sound like a classic rock station.
Since we have 4 stations that playing some kind of classic rock format, one of them need to play something different.

-The Wolf with 1.1 share need to go.

It seemed like they were playing a limited number of currents a couple years ago. But their current playlist looks classic rock with a hard rock lean (Crue, Metallica, etc) and a handful of 90's rock (STP, Green Day, Nirvana) sprinkled in.

I wonder if there were some playlist tweaks since KFOX on 102.1.

With this said, KSAN, IMO would be the best contender to go Active Rock.
