Someone once told me about a spot for I-95 that was shot on a still-incomplete Sawgrass Expressway where there was a line of cars behind a velvet rope and a usher who asked something like 'how many in your party?' Then he'd unhook the rope and gesture "I... Ninety Five!" then Gary Numan's 'Cars' started playing. I'm not sure if this is accurate because I've never seen it for myself but you gotta admit it's a pretty clever spot.

Actually it was part of Okeechobee Road where the infamous I-95 commercial was filmed late at night. You're partially right. As the rope was unhooked, the usher said "Mr. Gordon...I-95 FM Is Yours" and the guy sat down in a big mushy lazyboy chair. Gary Numans "Cars" was played in the background and our moniker was "I-95..Bumper To Bumper Hits" The funny thing about that is people always said what a stupid commercial it was even years later but it served its purpose as all advertisers hope. Stupid maybe...but the people remembered. ;D
