Classic State Championship Basketball on the Fan?

Any word if 1070 is going to air any IHSAA classic games? I believe they will carry state championship games this season plus they probably now carry Indiana Sportstalk.

I'm thinking Damon Bailey's BNL state title game or Plymouth-Gary Roosevelt would be great for the Indiana sports fan to hear. If anyone knows...let us know.

Or the three Marion State Titles in the late 80's with Lyndon Jones and Jay Edwards. Or how about the Billy Keller or Scott Skiles state title games? Or of course you could go big time retro and land the Miland game. It would be interesting to hear some of those broadcasts from the 50's and 60's just to hear how much the sound quality has changed. So many great options! Lets hope they do it.

WIBC began clearing Indiana Sports Talk in the Fall of 1998, it was restricted to Saturday nights. When the station dropped Dr. Laura and eliminated the need to clear her third hour at 11pm through the week WIBC added the Friday night edition of Indiana Sports Talk....now heard on nearly 40 radio stations throughout Indiana.

IST is available on Friday nights when the Pacers aren't playing. If the Pacers are playing then it's the call in post-game show until about midnight.

If that's the case, have fun trying to find IST on a station that reaches the Indianapolis market. Because no station in the area carries it.

jughead its on friday nights during the offseason for the pacers usually and im sure it now will be on every friday nite now that they dont have to worry bout WIBC's Sportstalk show now that they are doing the local show on 1070 from 3 till 7pm. and if the pacers game is at 7pm they usually air the final Hour of IST on friday nights. tonight's IST will be on 1070 the fan from 11 till midnight after pacers overtime concludes at 11pm after the pacers vs pistons game from conseco

Airing only the final hour on Friday nights means I miss the part of the show which matters most - the high school games and coaches and reporters reports. I enjoy hearing how the games went which involve my friends who coach and officiate throughout the state during hoops season.

By 11 p.m. the high school stuff has been wrapped up and Coach Lovell is primarily talking about the next day's upcoming college action or the Pacers next game or the Colts.
