Classic TV on "The Hub" (cable network)

Along with plenty of animated fare for the kiddies, The Hub (formerly Discovery Kids) now airs:

Family Ties
Wonder Years
Doogie Howser MD
Happy Days
Laverne & Shirley
Batman (60's)

Also good to see Fraggle Rock and Transformers (G1) back on the air (nostalgia factor).

Expect a lot of Hasbro commercials, though (they are co-owners, along with Discovery Networks).

Although it's advertised as something the whole family can watch together, I'm 32 and single with no kids and really enjoy watching this network most every night. This is especially true of the Wonder Years since it may never get a DVD release because of music licensing issues. I'm guessing though I better get my fill before they're all pulled in favor of something original.

Likewise with the 60's Batman not getting a DVD release, due to the fact the characters are owned by Time Warner but the show was made by Fox a few years before DC Comics' parent company bought Warner Bros..

You are dead-on about getting your fill while you can. I remember a decade ago seeing all the old shows on Toon Disney and thinking the same thing. And now Toon Disney doesn't even exist anymore.

I've also noticed they are trying to position their late-night shows (Batman and Transformers G1) in an "Adult Swim" fashion as "Huboom", hosted by a copier and a fax machine. ???
