Classic TV promos on YouTube disappearing

??? It seems my love affair with YouTube has started to dwindle because today I discovered that a lot of classic promos from ABC, CBS, and NBC were removed. :'( The reason was simply "due to user violation" and that the networks that own all of that stuff were not given permission to do so. Just type in "(insert network here) promos" here and check for yourself. For those of you who aren't familiar with YouTube, here's the link: www.youtube.com

I have a feeling this is only the beginning of the end of youtube. I hope not but it does seem a lot of it is causing trouble for someone out there. At work this morning I heard that some of the cast of The Brady Bunch,Sherwood Schawrz and Paramount are upset that on youtube there is gay version of the Brady Bunch called "The Brady Bears". I saw this myself recently thanks to a co-worker who thought it was downright funny and shared it with eveyone else. It had its moments but the shocker was with the set used. Almost just like the one used in the Brady Bunch !!

Some Local TV stations I have heard are asking that their old themes and openings be deleted due to, yeah the old copyright problem.

My sister was saying she saw online where Sid & Marty Kroft are about to go after Youtube since just about all of their shows, the openings are featured.

Even some home videos are being deleted because, well some folks don't like to see themsevles and/or their kids beng featured in clips where anyone can view them.

I will be surprised if Youtube is around a year from now.
