Classic TV sports question for Y'all!

NBC, September 29, 1945. Columbia defeated
Lafayette, 40-14. The game probably aired only
in New York, Philadelphia, and Schenectady.

NBC also had the first telecast of the Army-Navy
game on December 1, 1945.

Per Wikipedia, there were pre-war telecasts as well. Stations carrying the game are not mentioned so I'll make a guess as to who they were.

Fordham University (NYC) vs Waynesburg College (PA) on 9/30/1939 (W2XBS or W2XAB New York)
Nebraska vs Kansas State on 10/23/1939 (W9XAL Kansas City*)
Maryland vs Pennsylvania on 10/5/1940 (W3XE Philadelphia)

* Kansas State University had an experimental TV station earlier in the '30s (W9XAK), but it was mechanical, operated on 2.0-2.1 MHz, and had left the air in 1936, so it couldn't have been them.

W9XAL in KC was doing remote broadcasts, so it's possible that they could have established a link to Manhattan to broadcast this game. Incidentally, John Cameron Swayze made his (mechanical) television debut on this station in 1933.
