Do you speak English?

Yes sir, we need a classicyes.com creation to have old playlist by going back several years like the '80s and '90s.

What do you mean by "we need"?
And what is "a classicyes.com creation"?

A classicyes.com is like yes.com is to create a website that I want to have an old playist for example like:

WQCD Smooth Jazz CD 101.9 old playlist (1989-2008)
WQHT Hot 103 in Dance Music old playlist (1986-1988) (later Hot 97 (1988-1993)
Studio 54 Clubhouse old playlist (1998-2007)
Jammin' 105 old playlist (1998-2002)
WYNY 103.5 Country old playlist ('90s)
and more...

Yes, I know how to translate in Spanish programming and to have classicyes.com old playlist like:

Suave 93.1 (later Amor 93.1 in 1998 and backwards 93.1 Amor in 2002) old playlist
Noche de Concierto con Luisa Martinez (later Maria Mercedes) old playlist (1996-2000)
105.9 Latino Mix old playlist (1999-2005)
Señora Música con Douglas Peña old playlist (2001-2005 and 2007-2008)
Recuerdo 1280 con Douglas Peña old playlist on WADO (2001-2004)
and more...

It's simple. We just need a computer based monitoring and song recognition system that can GO BACK IN TIME...

Get on that already, wouldja?

Yes I know but not the yes.com just classicyes.com website.

So go check on YouTube from May 24, 1989 Hot 97 old playlist at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Brz5K6I36-U

But unfortunately the info NOTICE says:

The video contains an audio track that has not been authorized by WMG. The audio has been disable and they can't.

No, the original yes.com does not have archive song played to go back from the decade just only the new website at www.classicyes.com to go back several years from an old playlist songs from the decade.

So go to http://www.youtube.com/user/therobz to find out more than 63 videos from the decade of any states/cities on YouTube.

So AlvaJr, Who's supposed to create this classicyes.com? Its a good idea. I'd love to see something like this but unless this is something the people at Yes.com want to invest in, I seriously doubt it will happen. I would think it would be too difficult to create considering all of the research that would be involved, contacting radio stations, all the different channels they would probably have to go through, then there is the countless hours of data entry. It sounds expensive. I think if it were to happen it would be based on any archival system yes has in place that goes back to when the original site went live. Would it be found on that wayback machine site? Anybody?

It actually is a good idea, I agree, but I also agree that it would be nearly impossible (if not completely impossible) to accomplish. I don't think any of the old yes.com data gets saved in archive.org, unfortunately. It could only happen if they had that old data saved somewhere, or if not yes.com, perhaps someone else like Mediabase.

Otherwise, it would involve contacting all of these stations, with the odds being that they don't have these playlists laying around or saved anywhere. And not to mention all the stations that have been sold, switched formats, etc., over the years. Those old playlists are probably long gone as well.

That is...unless Google did it :) With Google they just wave the "magic" wand, and poof, a new amazing project. Google Chrome, Google Grand Central, Google Maps, Google Apps....... Now we just need Google World Peace Equation Calculator, and Google Economic Crisis Recovery Tool, and we'll be all set ;)

(And they could probably just buy the "yes" name if they wanted it.)
