Heard Steve Clawson's leaving radio and going to L.A. to be a spokesman. Was he producing for Ankarlo? When McMahon was moved to afternoons, did producer Mitch Otto move with him, or did he remain AM and Clawson PM?

what does a person's persoanl life have to do with how he/she performs on the air? in regards to tom leykis,

Just in case anyone reads this far, Steve Clauson is one of the most capable, smartest, most plugged in
broadcasters in this market, The station did everything they could to keep him. Steve just made up his mind that it was time. All of us should have his skills, his abilities and his phone book with the name and personal number of every important politico in the state.

KTAR will miss him

Jay

I just had to chime in on this one. Steve was the newsman for several of my years doing nights on KTAR and Jay happens to be right on target on this one: Steve is one of the best, most capable radio guys with whom I ever had the opportunity to work. He'll certainly be missed, but is going to be great at his new gig.

Straus!! :D

I still remember calling you one night, around 1993 or so, fueled with passion ala Yukon Jack. It was a great topic--no toaster talk--and I remember enjoying the discussion...and the Yukon Jack! ;D

Yukon Jack, huh? Well, regardless of the motivating circumstances, the fact that ANYONE remembers calling me is noteworthy............
and I really appreciate your replyto my post.

Never discount the power of Jack!

I once had a journalism professor who weighed giving me an 'A' or 'B' over a bottle of Jack Daniels. Well, I got the 'A'-- thanks to Jack. ;D

Hey Straus

I still got my sensi's (except the ones that broke), but I won several... ;D

One style of them, the traditional thong type, they break, usually at the worst possible time, when its 110 degrees and you are in the middle of an endless sea of blacktop. Of course, I probably walk funny...

The other kinds are indestructable though.
