Cleaning up at WECK

Earlier today, I saw a "Shred-It" truck outside WECK's translator building, literally steps away from my house off of Genesee Street...apparently they're getting some stuff thrown out. It's the first time I've seen major activity over there since moving up here in '98.
Am I reading too much into this, or is Infinity bringing in some potential suitors that may be interested in buying part (or all) of the Infinity cluster here in Buffalo?

What they found at 2900 Genesee

Word is they uncovered some curious ancient artifacts:

1) Nine Jerry Jack coffee mugs, each with a picture of a different guy.

2) Severely cue-burned ET of The Angelis Prayer

3) Six years of program logs with absolutely no commercials scheduled

Anyone hear of anything else?

Copies of the obituaries that Happy Harry used to read on the air every Saturday and Sunday...

Still more treasures found!

Thank goodness these escaped the shredder:

* Stern memo from Mary Lounsberry making jocks play weird, out-of-format instrumental every night at 11:00

* Confidential scouting report on WYSL-FM "Teen DJ's"

* Rare, out-of-print street map of Cheektowaga showing actual location of Melody Corner

* Long-expired CP for WNIA-FM once granted to some woman from Niagara Falls ;)

Hey Nick!

How about one 3 by 8 foot banner with the words "Be Big, Be A Builder!"

Read my blog

But wait! There's more!!

> How about one 3 by 8 foot banner with the words "Be Big, Be A Builder!"

Several other items have been identified:

A box with 438 2-inch tape reels containing commercials for places like Sattlers, Robert Hall, AM&A's, Hens & Kelly's, Cavages, Crystal Beach, and The Glen Park Casino.

A pair of Dr. Jim shorts.

A pronounciation guide for classical composers' names.

A badly-damaged RE-8 microphone.

One pair of old unpadded Bakelite mono headphones with lots of friction tape used to repair the cord.

An old dartboard with a curious "GB" pattern created by thousands of on-target darts.
