Clear Channel after LFM

I remember w9wi mentioning 104.5 for Islamorada before moving the CP to 93.5, facilitating WKEY Key West moving to 93.7.

What is little known, is that in the Bahamas, there are 104.5's each in Freeport and Nassau. They are quite audible on the car radio just north of Key Largo when conditions are good. Oh, not strong enough to hurt Keys co-channel stations.....but I am sure that if the Islamorada station went on the air on 104.5, it could hurt the Bahamians.

The FCC has to look at neighboring countries when allocations are made.....don't they count the Bahamas? <shrug>

Also it may be w9wi's info I saw, that the little 100w WORZ-LP also on 104.3, serving the Ocean Reef Club in north Key Largo, will be moving to 107.9 as a result of the 104.3 Miramar move. There is also a 107.9 in Nassau which I hear once in a blue moon, but 100w won't hurt 'em I guess :)

Oh BTW WAXY as it is now, is still quite audible in Key Largo. I think the move for WORZ will make them easier to hear. They can be heard at www.keysfm.com

Thanks CD, I never knew about that keys fm website.
The station's official site requires a sign in protocol, so this is the first time I've heard them.
