Clear Channel Bankruptcy?

There is an interesting story in Clear Channel's hometown newspaper about CC maybe heading into bankruptcy.

Spew...where you been? that story's been around for months.

Hey Buddy. AS far as you know, does Clear Channel still own Ticketmaster. If so, today's story about T-PAC dropping them and there stock selling for pennies a share means they have had a really bad week.

Not yet. Live Nation, which spun off from CC, intends to merge with Ticketmaster. But the Justice Department is investigating.

Regarding the San Antonio newspaper story, it had no quotes from anyone who has any real knowledge.

Ticketmaster is their own worst enemy. Their backend fees have always been over-the-top. I don't blame TPAC or anyone else for dropping Ticketmaster.

That is one of the reasons i don't go to concerts anymore, the other is that I am a 50 year old grumpy old man who is almost a hermit (if I didn't have to work I would be).

*** I am working on a Rupert Holmes concert Don, would that get you down front, center stage, with the screaming hot...ah, never mind. Yeah!

Big A , welcome back. Anyone with a brain knows you can't run a business with the debt like cc in a devestated economy unless you're the U S Government printing press. (By the way how many trees does it take to make 8,799,080 katrillion dollars?)

Answer: ALL OF THEM... Has Al Gore been notified?? BTW, did anyone see ABC News with Charlie Gibson on Friday July 17? During their person of the week segment, it was mentioned that President Obama has his own Presidential coins. The piece was about a retiring lady Marine who flies the presidential helicopter. Obama gave her a gift of a presidential coin. Is he the first president to have his own currency?? When will we be switching to it??

Here is the quote from the ABC News site: http://abcnews.go.com/WN/PersonOfWeek/Story?id=8114091&page=2

President Obama acknowledged the work she has done on behalf of her country. He came in to the cockpit of the helicopter and thanked her for her service. He also gave her a rare presidential coin.
