Clear Channel Can do pretty good Remixes.. Wow!

Ok, yes.. The website is pretty simular to Kiss Fm Chicago. But still, i was in tampa over the weekend and was able to listen to 93.3 Wflz. Normal music is pretty good. (Still better than our kiss fm.)

The mixes where awesome compared to the one's on kiss fm chicago. (which seems to be normal music with the ending and beginning mixed together.) There was even a nirvana mix. I was very impressed! They Can do good mixes.

If they where to replace our kiss fm with 933flz, i wouldn't mind the least. This is the website for flz: http://www.933flz.com and the " Friday Night Interactive" site is: http://www.club933.com/

Clear channel, send over some mixes our way!

Edit: Here are two downloadable mixes from 93.3 flz:

FLZ has been around for years, they are heritage.

Another one is WHTZ, Z100 in NYC. I heard them and my mouth dropped, and not the mixes, just midday and night regular programing. Can't fathom they are the same company as other CHR's they run.<P ID="signature">______________

Your right. I used to listen to flz back when i lived in florida (95-97). It was owned by Jacor back then. I always thought the MJ and BJ morning show was better than eddie and jobo. (my opinion)

It seems like they are using the XMix Radio Active series...Which is mainstream tunes with mix ins, mix outs and breaks.

By the way, I think, oddly enough, Channel 933 in San Diego uses the same stuff...Great imaging on both stations.

Where Randy Michaels created all of the "Power Pig" stunting that suceeded against Q105 in Tampa and then bombed when tried on Z95 here.

Well, I take that back. I downloaded the mixes and listened in the car on my way to work today...They are definitely not using the Radioactive series. They just appear to be using club versions and slamming them together. There really isn't much mixing involved. They are using remixes with hip hop vocals that are too fast laid down with progressive synths, interesting combo.

and Z100 NYC has been around for years - CC didn't create it, they just bought it.

nevertheless, it is one of the BEST sounding top-40 stations in the country, if not the best. just my opinion though...

I think FLZ has traditionally been a dance-friendly station. If I'm not mistaken, I think they are the same station who was using the moniker "The Power Pig" back in the late 80's when they went head to head with Q106 (I think? ...someone will correct me... LOL) in Tampa/St. Pete.

And a second with you on Z100. I was in NYC for a few days this past week, and spent a fair share of time monitoring KTU, Mix (WNEW), Z100, and of course, the new Jack-FM (WCBS). Being a dance/remix fan, KTU and Mix both bored me during the morning and daytime, although KTU sounds much better at night (evil dayparting at work again). Z100 has a terrific morning show, the audience interaction is wildly entertaining - reminds me of Eddie & Jobo during their best days in the 90's (maybe even better). They sound very hip and energetic during the day, with a lot of personality... something I love to see in CHR. WKSC could probably borrow a few pages from the Z100 playbook and see some benefit. Meantime, I found myself sampling WCBS-FM a lot during the day, but that's another story. :)
